Ghana Music Awards currently known as the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (This change of name came as a result of Telecel’s sponsorship takeover from Vodafone Ghana) holds her 25th edition awards ceremony.

A list of nominees were unveiled in Accra on Thursday, ahead of the main ceremony scheduled for June 1st 2024.

The first on the list of nominees is Stonebwoy scoring an impressive 15 nominations, followed closely by Kuami Eugene with 14 nominations, and Sarkodie with 8 nominations. In addition, Black Sherif, last year’s big winner, secured a total number of 6 nominations after clinching five victories at the previous ceremony, including the prestigious title of Artist of the Year award.

The anticipations and anxieties surrounding the forthcoming awards ceremony topped when the full list of nominees were unveiled at the Grand Arena in Accra. The aim of this event is not only to showcase Telecel’s new sponsorship but also seeks to provide as a profitable platform for uniting industry giants, emerging talents, and music enthusiasts alike.

The Telecel Ghana Music Awards, promises to be an evening of joyful celebration as well as a platform to honour the exceptional achievements and contributions of legendary Ghanaian artists across various musical genres. A Few Notable and we’ll renowned nominees include Sarkodie, Amerado, King Paluta, Jay Bahd, and Black Sherif, among others.

The categories up for nominations consists of a wide range of musical styles and accomplishments ranging from Best Male Artiste to Best New Artiste, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year, thereby making certain that all facets of musical excellence are duly recognized.
